EXPOSITION "LE BONHEUR EST DANS L'IMAGE - RAYMOND DEPARDON"

This exhibition, in partnership with the MAGNUM agency, is conceived as a retrospective devoted to Raymond Depardon?s work as a photojournalist, but also to the artist?s own work, which has become more sensitive and intimate over the course of his career.

From the inveterate traveler who criss-crossed the world in search of wide-open spaces and oppressed peoples, to the keen observer of the rural world from which he sprang, all the facets of this major figure in contemporary photography are explored.

A special tribute will be paid to his work dedicated to the peasants, territories and communes of France, in an approach that is both intimate and distanced, respectful of those who populate the countryside and witness the inevitable changes in our society.

Through a selection of over 90 emblematic photographs, come and discover Raymond Depardon?s singular view of the major events of the 20th century, the wilderness, the communes of our territory, and the men and women who have crossed his path?
