Discover the many assets of the Domaine la Croix Chaptal within the AOC Terrasses du Larzac and Clairette du Languedoc!
Created by the Benedictine monks of Gellone Abbey in a place chosen for its capacity to produce great wines, Domaine la Croix Chaptal is rich in a thousand-year-old tradition. The pebbles and gravels dominate on a poor and deep clay-limestone soil, naturally well drained, where vines and olive trees have flourished since the 10th century.
Regularly recommended by professional guides, the estate produces full-bodied, fruity red terroir wines from sorted and de-stemmed grapes; notably "le secret de Gellone" and "cuvée Charles" in AOC Terrasses du Larzac. This exceptional terroir is also expressed through its Clairette du Languedoc vintage, the oldest white AOC in the south.
