ATELIER A FLEUR DE TERRE

Professional ceramist since 2010, the production of my workshop "À Fleur de Terre" is entirely done in a workshop/shop located in the heart of the potters' village of St Jean de Fos, known for its pottery tradition since the middle ages.
I work with white earthenware that I sgraffitize, after having applied a slip of colored oxides on the raw pieces.
I use the line to create the patterns, inspired by nature, or the geometric world.
My artistic references are Hundertwasser, Vazarelly, Hokusaï and Japanese prints.
Two firings are necessary, one at 980° to anchor the color and the second at 1030° for glazing.
