CHATEAU DE JONQUIERES

The Château de Jonquières is a family winery. Since its foundation in the 12th century, this wine house has been passed down from generation to generation without ever being sold. The vineyards have continuously produced wine, which can be seen from the Silver Medal received in 1889 and the exports to Canada in 1870. François and Isabelle de Cabissole settled there in the 1980s and (re-)created the independent winery in 1992. In 2014, it is the turn of Charlotte and Clément de Béarn (daughter and son-in-law) to move in and take over the estate to continue the work and enhancement of this great terroir.
The winery (currently undergoing conversion to organic agriculture) now covers 8 hectares, and production is around 25,000 bottles a year.
