LA CLOSERAIE

He comes from a family of winemakers who, until 1963, cultivated about 100 hectares of vineyards in Algeria; his grandparents later ran a winery in Agde in the 1970s. Nostalgic for that wonderful era when everyone shared moments of camaraderie during the family-oriented and cosmopolitan grape harvests, the world of wine and the land hold very fond memories for him.

Meeting Marie and discovering wine sparked a wonderful vision for a future they could share together.

The open space, the greenery, the time, and a growing interest in wine—why not embark on this great adventure?

In 2017, they found a 7-hectare plot of contiguous vineyards overlooking the Larzac; blown away by the view, they decided almost without a second thought to embark on this great adventure.

Today, every evening and every weekend is devoted to the vineyards, because good wine always comes from good grapes—it’s all done with a pickaxe and pruning shears.
