STUDIO BOB MAERE

Poterie

STUDIO BOB MAERE

All the works are made of porcelain and shaped with a potter's wheel
The so-called crystallization glazes, which I apply in the second firing, are fired at a high temperature of around 1300°C. Around a "core" in the form of a refractory oxide, crystals develop which grow for many hours in the molten glaze. The different compositions and their respective firing curves will define the shape and color of the crystals. The translucent fixtures allow the crystals to show through their walls, and the lamp bases, mounted or not, can receive shades of your choice or fabrication.
